As a Parent You Will:
- Learn how to analyze teacher and parental belief systems that become excuses for allowing the child to continue to act inappropriately;
- Learn how to analyze actual communication patterns that are either effective or ineffective in stopping inappropriate behavior;
- Learn how to use simple but very effective non-punishing back-up techniques to stop most inappropriate behavior immediately;
- Reduce your "parental" stress from child rearing responsibilities;
- Increase your ability to discipline more effectively;
- Deal effectively with: truancy, poor grades, fighting, sibling rivalry.
Equipment Needs: I will need an overhead projector and a VCR player and TV monitor.
Cost: No additional cost if part of an all day workshop for a particular school or district. Fee negotiable if just a parent presentation.
